We are always looking for innovative, fun things to do on the weekend. Recently, we took the entire 3 Daughters Brewing staff on the Tampa Bay Brew Bus www.brewbususa.com to visit other breweries around town. If you haven’t done this, it is an amazing way to see several breweries and taste a variety of craft beers. Our trip began at Florida Avenue Brewing: www.floridaavenuebrewing.com. Though it was Sunday and they are typically not open, they were gracious to let us come by for a taste and tour. I tried their Blueberry beer, which is an American Wheat Ale with a hint of blueberry. It was great and they gave us a cool tour. Great story about how they got started and their vision for the future. Second stop was Cigar City www.cigarcitybrewing.com/ and I think lots of people make this a stop on their tour because it really provides the foundation for craft beer in the Tampa market. I tried their Cigar City Cider which was very balanced with a 5.5% ABV. We really appreciated the fact that they let us detour to look at their 30 bbl system and canning line since we have the same brewhouse and our canning line will be here in September. Last, we went to Rapp Brewing, www.rappbrewing.com/ which in my opinion is a must see. Not only are the owners amazing but I couldn’t get enough of their Chocolate Peanut Butter Stout which I had heard other people rave about but hadn’t previously tried. The tour and beers were awesome and I can’t wait to go back. All in all, I highly recommend the Tampa Bay Brew Bus and hope to see you stop by 3 Daughters Brewing soon.
