We never thought we’d say this but: We wish it were still Tuesday.
Yesterday we celebrated Fat Tuesday with our 5th Annual Crawfish Boil. Our brewers, Ty, Steve, and Chris used to be chefs (they still cook plenty) so they were in charge of the boil and they did an awesome job. They were serving to a sold out crowd but with plenty of experience underneath their belts they didn’t break a sweat. Except for Chris, he’s always sweating.

Last year we smoked a whole gator and this year we did the same. Our brewer Captain Steve was in charge of that and it came out perfectly cooked with just the right amount of smoke. We paired this with our Phantasmas Spicy Double IPA which we brew with a ton of jalapeños to give it a NOLA kick. The Cidery had brewed up a batch of Hurricane Cider which resembled that fruity cocktail famous in New Orleans. Definitely something needed to cool down the crawdaddies. Big Brown Brass Band supplied the tunes all night and turned the place into our own little Mardi Gras.

All in all, we had a blast. Beer was drank, beads were thrown, crawfish were slurped. Yeah, we wish it were still Tuesday.
