Eric Pera- St. Petersburg’s 3 Daughters Brewing takes the bold flavor of coffee to a different place with A Wake Coffee Blonde Ale, a bracing quaff that runs counter to the herd of dark, java-laced stouts and porters.

The beer is clean and sharply crisp, with a punch of coffee that’s more in the realm of a blonde roast. A Wake finishes slightly acidic and bitter, with a touch of sweet, biscuit malt. Sharp carbonation is both cleansing and refreshing.

A Wake Coffee Blonde is 5.5 percent alcohol by volume and pours slightly hazy and golden.
