This weekend join us at the brewery for our 4 Year Anniversary Party! These few years have flown by so fast and honestly, it’s all been a big beer-filled blur. In 4 years we’ve grown so much and it’s thanks to our team and to our amazing patrons. True to tradition we will have music all day thanks to our all-star lineup: Nat’l Act, The Corbitt Brothers with Dani Jaye, and Have Gun Will Travel will be on the stage and playing tunes throughout. In honor of our anniversary we’ll be releasing four different speciality beers that are themed around birthday cakes. First off we have Rum Spiced Brown Ale which is brown ale aged in a special spiced rum barrel. Next is the German Chocolate Imperial Stout where we brewed Imperial stout with toasted coconut and chocolate. The final two are Chocolate Raspberry…

And just like that the St Pete Run Fest has passed us by. We had an incredible time seeing runners of all ages participate in the events spanning over a weekend. The Kid’s 1 Mile, the Outback 5k, and the 3 Daughters Brewing Half Marathon were all stellar events that had tons of runners for each. The Kids Mile was on the same day as the Wellness Market that preceded the main event runs on November 19th. Over a total of 3,500 runners participated in the first ever St Pete Run Fest. The 3 Daughters Brewing team actually got the fastest time for the 5k so we were stoked about it! Something we’ll never forget was finishing the race and seeing so many people enjoying the brand new Floating Dock Light IPA or a 3 Daughters Cider. Having the support of our town means…

The start of our florida grown hops

So, as you all know we’ve been involved with the University of Florida and Hillsborough County’s Economic Development team working on a project that will change our state and the future of craft beer: Florida-Grown Hops. We received these new hops from Richard Smith, the owner of Florida Hops. He was our contact for the hops plants. Here is an article and photo of him and Ricky Burts whom also has visited our facility to do the hops harvest demo: Intersection: Orange County’s First Commercial Hop Yard Our Head Brewer Ty and our Resident Mad Scientist Desiree have constructed a little “hop tree” in between our two warehouses where the hops can (hopefully) grow quite tall. We’re unsure of the harvest time as this is our first time trying to grow hops but we’ll keep y’all posted.

There hasn’t been a major running event to his downtown St Petersburg in over 3 years. That’s about to change with the arrival of St Pete Run Fest. The event will span over 2 days: a Health and Wellness Market Market on 11/18 and the actual race on 11/19. The Health & Wellness Market is coupled with the St. Pete Saturday Morning market and will include over 200 local vendors, makers and entertainers. 3 Daughters Brewing is proud to partner with St. Pete Run Fest as title sponsor of the inaugural half marathon on November 19th. Our newest craft beer Floating Dock Light IPA (118 calories, 7 carbs) will debut in cans and be available the entire race weekend at multiple locations around the course. Whether you run the 3 Daughters Brewing half marathon, the Outback 5K or another race, all runners (over 21)…

Small businesses across the country and around the Gulf Coast — including those in our own Tampa Bay area — represent the heartbeat of our communities. We have the power to help kick-start the sluggish U.S. economy and begin the rebuilding after a natural disaster. In 2013 we started our company, 3 Daughters Brewing, now one of the fastest-growing breweries in Florida. During Hurricane Irma, we offered our brewery as a shelter for friends and neighbors who were under mandatory evacuation orders. We housed 55 people, 12 dogs and six cats at the brewery. And while we were extremely fortunate, we know there were many to the south of us who were hit much harder. According to the Federal Emergency Management Agency, nearly 40 percent of small businesses never recover and don’t reopen after a natural disaster. That has a ripple effect across the…

We are very proud to announce that 3 Daughters Brewing was selected out of 18 national finalists by the U.S. Chamber as one of their Small Business Award Winners. We received the Emerging Business Achievement Award. We were the only company from Florida to be nominated and were thrilled to be chosen. Unfortunately, we were not able to go to Washington to accept the award (sorry no pictures) as hurricane Irma was moving through Florida. However, we were able to help some friends in the community by opening the brewery as a shelter of sorts and had 55 people, 12 dogs and 6 cats as we weathered the storm. There definitely wasn’t a dull moment. It was a privilege to be able to assist during the hurricane but were sorry to miss the small business summit and award ceremony. Since we didn’t get to…

We all know Creative Loafing is known for celebrating the best in local. Whether that’s the mexican restaurant around the corner, the best mechanic, or your favorite brewery, you’re sure to find an article from Creative Loafing on it. CL’s biggest party of the year celebrates the BEST in our local community. Best of the Bay is always on our calendars and we’ve been lucky enough to be nominated (by our awesome patrons) every year for a few categories. Well, this year was our luckiest by far– we took home not 1, not 2, but SIX Best of the Bay Awards! We were blown away by the amount of support you guys have shown us. We LOVE what we do… and we love that you do too. Cheers!

So, what exactly is a “Good ‘Burger”? A Good ‘Burger is a business, organization, or individual in greater St. Pete making a positive impact in our community. In honor of a former mayor who referred to his citizens as “burgers” (as in St. Petersburgers), the Good ‘Burger Awards were established to honor Chamber members who contribute in a positive way to make our community special. This year we were placed in the “Makers and Creators” category. Incredible businesses such as 2 Hungry Dogs, St Petersburg Distillery, and Mother Kombucha were nominated alongside our brewery. We were proud to win in our category and take home the Good ‘Burger Award.   It was an amazing night celebrating our community and those special individuals/businesses that make St Petersburg such an amazing place to live.   Cheers, St Petersburgers!

3 Daughters Brewing was nominated for the Dream Big Small Business of the Year Award presented by US Chamber of Commerce. There are only 17 finalists nationwide, and we are the only one from Florida. We’re also the only craft brewery that made the list! What an incredible honor to be recognized on the national stage, especially among such elite companies. “We are thrilled to be nominated for the Dream Big Small Business of the Year award,” says Mike Harting, CEO of 3 Daughters Brewing. “It’s extremely important to celebrate the achievements of small businesses and the impact they have on the economy. We are honored to be included.” We need everyone’s help to win so go show your support by voting for the Community Excellence Award at https://uschamber.secure-platform.com/a/gallery?roundId=5. Voting ends July 31st.

The Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Fast 50 was released recently and we made the list! We are humbled to be included and we’re more driven than ever to grow the brewery. At the Fast 50 Awards Ceremony we were announced as #12 on the list of 50. The brewery The Fast 50 awards were created to shine the spotlight on local companies that are undergoing explosive revenue growth.
